Institute for Savings Banks
Structures North completed a trilogy of projects for the Institute for Savings (“IFS”) over the course of five years:
- Topsfield IFS: (top photos) Renovation of an existing wood-framed building featuring removal of part of the second floor to create a two-story lobby, plus the addition of a drive-through portico featuring the bank’s iconic clocktower cupola.
- Rockport IFS: (center photos) An historic granite-walled residence that was renovated to remove a portion of the attic to create a two-story lobby, plus a new addition, faced in large granite block veneer mimicking the original building, for additional offices, plus the replacement of the drive-through portico featuring the bank’s iconic clocktower cupola.
- Hamilton IFS: (bottom photos) New construction featuring a two-story lobby with a curved steel sign over the teller’s desk.
